It's been awhile....ahhh that's life.

I was thinking about this blog in the shower last night...hahaha...maybe it's something to do with having to wash all the lumps, bumps, and rolls. Sometimes I lovingly refer to myself as a bakery. Being a "sista" of the "not so skinny pants" definitely leaves us with a continual battle on our hands. So much has happened since we've last shared our trials so I will update you all a bit.

One of us has been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and this was not good news...but it's not a death sentence either because she's going good and taking care of herself. She's continuing on her path of healthy exercise and nutrition.

Another of us has just had a baby.....her first! Now that's a life AND body changing event! It will be interesting to see how motherhood affects her pants hahaha. Just kidding : -)

And me....well....I'm still round. But I'm healthy and teaching six days a week of Zumba! If you would've asked me three years ago if I ever thought I'd be teaching group fitness I might have punched you! And here I am doing just that and loving every minute. In fact the big test for me comes this weekend. I'm headed to Roseburg to take my Turbo Kick certification which is like the icing on the proverbial cake as I'm not really a sweet tooth. Turbo Kick has been so essential to my 70 pound weight loss and to all healthy positive things in my journey. I feel like this is another milestone for me and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a tad nervous. It's good for us to change and to have those butterflies in our bellies. At least I have friends who will be there with me....really family and friends are everything. Losing weight and trying to stay or become healthy is not a battle you should choose to forego alone. Most battles require a brigade of individuals with a common goal...why should losing weight be any different? Statistics prove that those trying to lose weight do better if they have help (Weight Watchers, TOPS, etc.). Find a walking buddy or Facebook friend or someone who will help you keep accountable or just be there to vent with. I promise you will have more fun that "weigh".
